Delegate James Announces Historical Pension Bill Agreement

ANNAPOLIS, MD – In an effort to ensure Maryland’s schools are able to recruit and retain the most talented teachers, Delegate Mary-Dulany James has successfully negotiated a major pension enhancement for teachers and state employees.

"Our budget includes record funding for public education, but our students cannot achieve without capable teachers in every classroom,” said Delegate James. “Our pension bill includes key provisions that will make it easier for our schools to recruit and retain the most qualified teachers."
