Delegate James Co-Sponsors Bill to Make Quality Child Care More Affordable & Accessible
17-Feb-2006Annapolis, MD. – Legislation introduced today in the Maryland General Assembly proposes new ways to improve the quality, stability, and affordability of childcare services in the state.
The Quality Child Care Access and Affordability Act, would give 12,000 family child care providers a voice so they can work together to improve standards and lower turnover in their profession. The bill would also expand the state’s childcare tax credit to help a greater number of working families pay for the childcare they need.
