When Should You Trick or Treat?
Sunday, October 31, 2010
City of Aberdeen 5-8pm
Town of Bel Air 6-8pm
City of Havre de Grace 6-8pm
Outside of these municipalities both Harford and Cecil Counties recommend trick or treating between the hours of 6 and 8pm
Safety First!
The State Highway Administration is lending out reflective safety vests for children who are going trick or treating on Halloween. SHA’s Vests for Visibility program lends safety vests to parents or guardians – free of charge. Vests will be available in different SHA locations around the State, including the Churchville Shop ( 3050 Churchville Road Churchville, MD 21028-- 410-838-7788), on Wednesday, October 28; Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Vests must be returned by Friday, November 6th.

Costume Contest and Parade of Costumes!
October 30, 2010, Registration at 6:15pm, Parade and Judging at 6:30 in Downtown Havre de Grace. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes and to all children in costume. For more information call (410)939-6724
Jack-o-Lantern Festival!
October 30, 2010 at Dusk in South Chesapeake City
Chesapeake City will attempt to break the record for the most carved and lit pumpkins in a single location. Everyone (residents and visitors) are asked to bring a carved pumpkin(s), which must have eyes, nose and mouth carved out. They must also have a 3-inch candle and a carved top. The pumpkins must be registered at a drop station in order to be counted. Pumpkins will be displayed throughout the town and along the Canal. For more information contact: 443-553-1203

REMEMBER TO VOTE
Election Day is right around the corner. If you did not Early Vote please make sure you cast your ballot on Tuesday, November 2nd! The polls will be open from 7am to 8pm on Tuesday. If you are unsure of where your regular polling place is please click here and you can search by either address or name.
If you need a ride to the polls, please email me and let me know. I want to make sure that all who have the desire to vote have the opportunity.
